Another Indian player will play in the English county. Warwickshire gave place to Jayant Yadav in the team

Jayant Yadav County Championship: Indian all-rounder player Jayant Yadav will now be seen playing in the County Championship. Warwickshire on Friday announced that they have signed India’s off-spin all-rounder Jayant Yadav for the last three matches of the current season. Yadav, 32, will join fellow India pacer Mohammad Siraj at Edgbaston next week ahead of Warwickshire’s home match against Somerset, which starts on 12 September.

He is Siraj (Warwickshire County Match), Cheteshwar Pujara (Sussex), Washington Sundar (Lancashire), Kunal Pandya (50 overs match for Warwickshire), Umesh Yadav (Middlesex), Navdeep Saini (Kent) and Shubman Gill (Glamorgan County Match). He has become the eighth Indian player to sign a contract for the English domestic cricket season in 2022.

He said, “This will be my first County Championship experience and I am looking forward to joining the team for the last three games. When I was asked if I would like to join Warwickshire, it was something I could not say no to.” “

He continued, “After playing my sixth Test earlier this year, I am confident that these three matches will help me improve my game for more opportunities in the near future. I have never played at Edgbaston, but I’ve heard great things about the stadium.”

Yadav said on the deal with Warwickshire, “I would like to express my gratitude to both Warwickshire County Cricket Club and BCCI and I look forward to reaching Warwickshire next week.” Yadav has so far taken 173 wickets in 64 first-class matches and scored 2,194 runs. In six Test matches for India, Yadav has taken 16 wickets at an average of 29.06 and scored 248 runs at an average of 31.
