Dmart Company: Dmart made 64 percent profit in the second quarter, know how much business increased

D’mart Online Shopping App : The country’s largest retail chain Avenue Supermarts company Dmart (Retail Chain Avenue Supermarts Dmart) has announced the results of the second quarter of the current financial year. The profit of this company has increased by 64.1 percent to Rs 685.8 crore during this period. DMart has informed the exchange that the revenue has increased by 36.6 percent to Rs 10,638.3 crore. It was Rs 7,788.9 crore in the second quarter of FY-2022.

DMart’s EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) has increased by more than 33 percent to Rs 892 crore as compared to Rs 668.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. During this period, there has been a decrease in the margin of the company. The margin of the company has come down to 8.4 percent. Earlier it was 8.6 percent in the same period last year.

Avenue Supermarts Limited is a Mumbai based company. This company operates the D-Mart store. The company has opened new stores in 6 more cities in the country during the last quarter to further increase the business. At present, D-Mart has 284 stores across the country. The company has decided to increase their number to 1500, that is, in the coming days, the company will open 1216 new stores.

Earlier, in the fourth quarter ended March 2022, the consolidated net profit stood at Rs 426.75 crore, registering a growth of 3.11 per cent. Revenue from operations grew 18.55 per cent to Rs 8,786.45 crore in the quarter as against Rs 7,411.68 crore in the previous fiscal. At the same time, the total expenditure increased by 18.71 per cent to Rs 8,210.13 crore from Rs 6,916.24 crore last year.
