Har Ghar Tiranga: The Indian Postal Department has sold more than one crore national flags in 10 days through its 1.5 lakh post offices spread across the country. This information has been given in an official statement. India Post has said that you can go to your nearest post office and buy the tricolor from there by paying money or even online.

The postal department is selling the national flag at the rate of Rs.25. The Department of Posts with its ubiquitous network of 1.5 lakh post offices is running the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program for every citizen of the country, the statement said. India Post has sold more than one crore national flags within a short span of 10 days through post offices as well as online.
Strong enthusiasm for ordering tricolor online
According to the statement, the department has provided the facility of free delivery of the national flag to any address across the country for online sale. Till now citizens have made online purchase of more than 2.28 lakh national flags through e-post office facility. Even yesterday, India Post has made a tweet regarding this.

- Initially, a customer will be able to get only 5 flags.

The price of the tricolor in the post office has been kept at Rs 25 and no GST is being levied on it. The post office is not charging any delivery charge for this. Tracking facility is not being provided for this service. The tricolor will be delivered from the nearest post office branch from your home. While booking an online order, you will have to provide the delivery address, number of flags required and your mobile number.
The statement from India Post said
The statement said that 4.2 lakh postal workers across the country have propagated the message of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ in cities, towns and villages, border areas, Left Wing Extremism affected districts and hilly and tribal areas. Along with this, India Post has conveyed the message of ‘Har Ghar Tricolor’ to every section of the society through Prabhat Pheri, Bike Rally and Chaupal meetings. Apart from this, social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook have also been used extensively to propagate the message of the program among the digitally connected citizens.
