According to the company, users will not need to buy another 5G SIM separately to take the service of 5G network. Only the existing 4G SIM will be able to support 5G connectivity as well. But for this it is necessary to have a smartphone mobile with 5G support. Although some smartphones have 5G modem, the 5G feature is unlocked. For which now smartphone companies are engaged in issuing OTA (over the time) updates. So that users can use the service of 5G smartphone.
It is necessary to take a Jio plan of at least Rs 239
Reliance Jio is currently providing the service of 5G network to its users at the cost of 4G plan only. But for this, users of Jio will have to take a prepaid or postpaid plan of at least 239 or more. Only then can you take advantage of Jio’s 5G welcome offer. Under the welcome offer for users from Jio, unlimited 5G data will be given with the validity of the active base plan.
Turn on the mobile 5G network mode
To put the phone on 5G mode, you have to go to the phone’s Settings app, you click on the Wi-Fi & Network option and enter, after that the option of SIM & Network will be found. By clicking on it, you get a list of all the technologies, in which the option of Preferred Network Type is also available at the bottom. Here the service options available in your mobile, such as 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G (if any) are available. From here you can choose your 5G service.
