T20 WC 2022 PAK vs SA: Pakistan has won against South Africa in its fourth match of the T20 World Cup 2022. In the rain-affected match, Pakistan won by 33 runs on the basis of Duckworth-Lewis rule. Batting first, Pakistan had made a big score of 185 runs. Chasing the score, the South African team was able to bat only nine overs that the rain came. The match was reduced to 14 overs due to rain and South Africa needed to score 73 runs in 30 balls.

Pakistan had a very poor start and they lost their four wickets for 43 runs. Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Nawaz shared a crucial 52-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Nawaz was dismissed on the last ball of the 13th over after scoring 28 runs in 22 balls. After Nawaz’s dismissal, Iftikhar got good support from Shadab Khan. Shadab completed his half-century in 20 balls while batting smoky. There was a smoky partnership of 82 runs in 36 balls between the two. Shadab was dismissed after scoring 52 runs in 22 balls. After this, Iftikhar was also dismissed after scoring 51 runs in 34 balls.
South African batsmen seen in trouble in front of Pakistani bowlers
Chasing the score, South Africa lost two wickets for 16 runs. After this, captain Temba Bavuma showed good momentum after a long time and played a quick innings of 36 runs in 19 balls. Bavuma shared 49 runs for the third wicket with Aidan Markram (20). In the eighth over, Shadab put Pakistan in a very strong position by sending both the batsmen to the pavilion within three balls. When the match started again, South Africa needed to score 73 runs in five overs. South African batsmen could not reach close to the target in front of the accurate bowling of Pakistani bowlers.
