Stock Market Closing On 16th September 2022: The last trading day of the week has been very disappointing for the Indian stock market. Due to global reasons and selling of domestic and foreign investors, the market fell flat. Sensex has slipped below 59000. At the end of trading today, the Sensex of the Mumbai Stock Exchange declined by 1093 points to 58,840 and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed down by 345 points at 17,530 points.
Due to heavy selling in Friday’s trading session, shares of all sectors closed in the red mark in the market. Bank Nifty closed down 1.05 percent, Nifty Auto 2.71 percent, Nifty IT 3.71 percent, Nifty FMCG closed down 1.93 percent. Shares of oil and gas sector, consumer durables also saw a decline. Of the 50 stocks of Nifty, only 2 stocks closed in the green, the remaining 48 stocks fell. So out of 30 shares of Sensex, only one share has closed in green mark, the remaining 29 shares closed in red mark.
A total of 3,610 shares were traded on the BSE, in which 980 shares rose and 2525 shares closed in the red mark. There is no change in the price of 105 shares. In today’s trading session, 247 shares had upper circuit and 211 shares closed with lower circuit. The market capitalization of the stock market has come down to Rs 279.82 lakh crore.

In today’s trading session, IndusInd Bank 2.63 per cent, Delta Corp 1.83 per cent, Max Financial 1.22 per cent, Cipla 0.99 per cent, GAIL 0.77 per cent, Indus Tower closed with a gain of 0.22 per cent.

Looking at the falling stocks, UltraTech Cement 4.51 percent, Tech Mahindra 4.45 percent, Infosys 3.69 percent, Mahindra 3.52 percent, Wipro 3.19 percent, TCS 3.08 percent, Nestle 3.02 percent, Reliance 2.44 percent with a fall.
