Tiger has stopped offline classes, will study online, know the whole matter

Tiger in MANIT Campus: Offline classes have now been postponed and online studies have started at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. This spread has been taken due to security reasons. According to a campus official, a tiger had entered the campus of the institute, after which the campus has been closed due to security. Offline classes were postponed and started in online mode.

MANIT registrar Binod Doley said that the forest department officials informed about the sighting of the tiger, after which it was decided to conduct classes in online mode. We will probably resume offline classes next week as forest officials expect the tiger to leave the campus on its own in a day or two, he said. Cages have been put up by the forest department staff and cameras have been installed along with drones to keep an eye on the movement of tigers.

Tiger footprints seen
About 100 acres of the campus is covered with dense forest. Teachers, employees and their families, which number around 1,000 and 5,000, have been asked to stay indoors during the night. Dole said that no one has seen the tiger, but its footprints have been seen. Whereas forest department officials have said that this tiger has attacked two or three cows. Bhopal Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Alok Pathak told PTI that his department wants the tiger, possibly two years old, to come out naturally.
