With five second-inning wickets remaining and a 46-run lead going into the final day, Australia was mercilessly bowled for 261 by India. Then, shortly after midday, India managed to chase down a modest goal of 75 with Smriti Mandhana’s undefeated 38.

Vice-captain Tahlia McGrath was the only Australian player to score fifty runs in either inning during the team’s poor performance at Wankhede Stadium.
