Former Miss World 2017 and Bollywood actress Manushi Chhillar recently praised the director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and also loved the role of Rashmika Mandanna in the movie ‘Animal’ which also starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri.
During an interview, she was asked about the rumors about the role being offered to her but the Operation Valentine star stated that she wished she knew about them.
Manushi Chillar On Rashmika Mandanna’s Role in Animal
During the interview, she was asked about which role she would have preferred is it Rashmika Mandanna‘s Geetanjali or Tripti Dimri’s Zoya character. She replied and stated that ‘I love him (Sandeep Reddy Vanga). See, both are really interesting roles (Rashmika Mandanna’s and Triptii Dimri’s characters). But I loved Rashmika’s character because, in this whole world where men were fighting each other, she really stood her ground.’
In the movie Animal, we see Rashmika’s Geetanjali is married to Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh who has an affair with Tripti Dimri’s Zoya. The Operation Valentine star stated that ‘She really confronted a man. She held him accountable. She said I don’t care about who you are, what you are doing outside, and how dangerous you might be.’
She further stated that ‘But you’re my husband, and I will hold you accountable. Her character had an arch. I felt that was such a good opportunity, and she did a great job. So, that’s a role I would have loved to do.’
Manushi Chhillar on Missing the Chance to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga
In the interview Manushi Chhillar was asked about whether the role of ‘Preeti’ in the movie Kabir Singh was offered to her, the role was later played by Kiara Advani. She confirmed about the rumours and stated that ‘I will semi-agree with this rumour because I came to know about this much later. I was Miss World that year and I was in contact with them.’
Thus, Manushi said that she missed a big chance to work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga In a Confrontation with Adil Hussain
Recently, the Indian director grabbed the attention of social media after he tweeted on his official X page that the Indian actor Adil Hussain insulted Vanga’s 2019 directorial Kabir Singh in an interview. Adil Hussain who had a minor role in the movie, further stated that he remorsed about the fact that he starred in the movie and was uncomfortable about it.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga however choose to make fun out of Adil Hussain’s long filmography of ‘art films’ in his tweet where he stated that ‘Your ‘belief’ in 30 art films didn’t get as much fame to you as your ‘regret’ of 1 BLOCKBUSTER film did. I regret casting you, knowing that your greed is bigger than ur passion. NOW I’ll save you from the shame by replacing your face with AI help. Now smile properly.’
Manushi Chhillar’s Upcoming Films
Manushi Chhillar made her debut in Bollywood by starring in 2022’s historical drama movie ‘Samrat Prithviraj‘ along with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood.
After that, she also starred in ‘The Great Indian Family’ along with Vicky Kaushal in 2023 and ‘Operation Valentine’ with Varun Tej in 2024. Her most recent film is ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ along with Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sonakshi Sinha, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Alaya F.
