BJP have struck Congress by winning a behemoth 110 seats in Rajasthan and a power packed majority in Madhya Pradesh by winning 160 seats. The perfect strategies and god-level campaigning sees BJP led Central Government setting the mood for the FINAL (2024 General Elections). The biggest shock endured by the Congress party was to swallow defeat in Chattisgarh. A landslide victory questions Congress’ and I.N.D.I.A block’s strategies.
BJP’s comfortable cruise in Madhya Pradesh
Major players winning their seats in Madhya Pradesh such as incumbent CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Budhni sees Madhya Pradesh change its colour to saffron. More than 65% voting was registered in the state. BJP welcomes a whopping 160 seats out of 230 seats.
“I dedicate this win to our Ladli Behnas and PM Modi. We will take Madhya Pradesh forward…,” says Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan to party workers as the party leads towards a landslide victory in the state.
His Ladli Behen Yojna became quite the sensation in the state and if experts are to be believed this yojna was the most powerful push for BJP to re-throne themselves in the state.
“Ladli Behna scheme is game-changer, full credit to Shivraj Singh Chouhan”: Jyotiraditya Scindia.
Ground reports have revealed that when the rumours of Chouhan not being chosen as the candidate broke out; women were seen crying. His popularity due his honest work is something rare and was even applauded by the analysts. Is Madhya Pradesh the new Uttar Pradesh; where BJP enjoys monopoly through democracy?
Even though Shivraj Singh Chouhan is the most probable candidate; Jyotirao Scindia’s effort cannot be unseen. His thumping triumph in Gwalior has risen the questions over who should be the next CM if Shivraj has his position under competition?
BJP’s return to the throne in the ‘Land of Kings’
Rajasthan has a very interesting political history where both BJP and Congress have enjoyed simultaneous terms in power. BJP ended hopes for Congress to retain their state but were found in disdain after the saffron surge managed to bag 116 seats out of possible 199 seats. Vasundhara Raje is front running for the CM’s post after her last tenure did not end the way she and the party would have wanted.
Vasundhara Raje’s political career was understood to have been ended after her last tenure tarnished her reputation badly; but the BJP minister had a splendid turn around and when on to win Jhalrapatan with a margin of more than 51000 votes.
This is PM Modi’s, grassroot level workers and Amit Shah’s strategies win: Vasundhara Raje
Former Rajasthan CM, Ashok Gehlot left no stone unturned in the last few months of the election but could not help the tide to turn his way. From reducing the cost of LPG cylinders to introduction of new schemes; Gehlot led Rajasthan government saw all the efforts go in vain.
According to reports it was the ‘Laal Diary’ incident involving Ashok Gehlot and his one of the most trusted ministers, Rajendra Gudha that gave away the votes to BJP. The incident was after the shocking Manipur incident in the Rajasthan parliament where Gudha gave accounts of atrocities committed against women in Rajasthan and exposed the Government. He was dismissed from the ministerial post and from the party later on.
BJP’s appalling entry in Chattisgarh politics
Out of the entire election action in the country today, the Chattisgarh result was the most astounding and unexpected. BJP managed to get 55 seats out of 90 dethroning Congress in their own backyard. Chattisgarh was expected to be the next Amethi for Congress only when Raman Singh led BJP party ended the Manhattan-high hopes for Bhupesh Baghel and the Congress.
On BJP’s lead in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Union Minister Nityanand Rai said, “It is only because of PM Modi’s name. The work and the name of PM Modi have reached every house. The people have trusted the slogans of ‘Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi’ and ‘Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai’. Welfare and development has reached every house, city and village. The deprived section also thinks that they have gained something and they have the right to be happy. The face of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ is the face of corruptors, scamsters, and appeasement. People have understood that all the parties in the mega alliance including the Congress are betrayers.”
Reports and the analysis have revealed that the number of scams breaking out in the state including the infamous Mahadev Betting App scam was the reason for Congress’ loss. All the scams were delicately linked to the CM and the party which reportedly got public.
The fight in Chattisgarh was anticipated to go down the wire when both the parties shared 45 seats each. The exit polls showcased an easy triumph for Congress; destiny had different plans for the BJP.
Congress’ triumphant campaign in Telangana sees BRS out of competition; BJP shows positive results as compared to last election
The Telangana results were relief for Congress as they managed to clinch much needed victory out of the hands of K. Chandrashekar Rao’s Bharitya Rashtriya Samithi (BRS). The 138 year old party managed to collect 65 seats from the possible 119 seats.
The state and the exit polls expected KCR and his party BRS to come in power again but Congress’ probable CM choice; Revanth Reddy bagged the much important win in the series of elections.
Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy says, “KTR welcomed Congress’ govt. This spirit should continue when we (Congress) run the govt. 10 years you (BRS) were in power and now you will sit in the Opposition. We value the opinion of the Opposition.”
Assauddin Owaisi led AIMIM party clinched a seat in Chandrayangutta which was spearheaded by Owaisi’s brother Akbaruddin Owaisi. BJP managed to win only 10 seats but according to the analysts this is a tremendous growth for the central government led party as in the previous elections they managed to win only 1 seat.
Conclusion
As the state assembly election ends with Mizoram’s result headed for tomorrow; BJP has government set in 12 state out of 15. This is a huge number from 2024’s General Election perspective. People of the country are leaving no stone unturned to point out their leader.
Amidst the positives for BJP; Congress and I.N.D.I.A bloc have a lot to prepare for. The prospects of them winning the main elections look bleak and far-fetched. After the results were almost confirmed; Mallika Arjun Kharge, All India Congress Chief and also I.N.D.I.A’s leader called for a meeting in New Delhi on 6th December. He was taunted by the BJP leaders to have called a meeting because of fear and panic.
The newly formed ‘Mahagathbandhan’ already has undergone a lot of ups and downs with Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party in UP calling Congress liars. Biggest question remains will I.N.D.I.A bloc manage to hold on until the elections or this sees the end of all the political parties involved? As from the looks; BJP has quite set the tone for the upcoming General Elections.
