Bobby Deol has gained his confidence and aced his new phase in his acting career by starring as the villainous Abrar Hague in Sandeep Reddy’s blockbuster movie Animal which was released last year.
The movie not only became the fifth highest grossing Bollywood film of all time but also Bobby Deol faced a lot of praise from the audience for his acting skills and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the 69th Filmfare Awards. However, he is scheduled to play a play a villain again in YRF’s upcoming Spy Universe film which also stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh.
Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol to Make their Debut in YRF Spy Universe
A portal stated that after ‘After starring in box office hit Animal, we can reveal that Bobby Deol will play the villain in the next Yash Raj Films Spy Universe feature starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’. The other supporting cast has not yet been announced by the filmmakers, the untitled movie project’s story is set after the aftermath of War 2 which stars Hrithik Roshan, Junior NTR, and Kiara Advani in lead roles and it is set to release next year.
Both Bobby Deol and Alia Bhatt are going to make their official debut in the YRF Spy Universe film where Alia is to become the first female actor to lead a high-octane and engaging spy thriller movie. At the same time, Bobby is set to portray a grey antagonistic character and will undergo a huge physical body transformation which is said to be his most complex character so far.
Sharvari Wagh previously starred in a YRF film named Bunty aur Balbli 2 which was released in 2021 and also starred with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Saif Ali Khan, and Rani Mukherji.
Bobby on ‘Playing Villain Again’
According to a source, Bobby Deol exhibited his tremendous excitement with the narration and story plot of his character, he firmly believes that his grey character in this film will grab and captivate the audience’s attention after his tremendous success in Sandeep Vanda Reddy’s film Animal.
Bobby who battled Ranbir’s Ranvijay Singh in Animal, could now be seen fighting Alia Bhatt in the upcoming spy film. Alia Bhatt previously appeared as a spy in Megna Gulzar’s Raazi(2018) and also made her debut in a Hollywood movie in Gal Gadot’s Heart of Stone (2023).
Additionally, Bobby Deol is also trying to get a new look for this film with different hairstyles and features which he is going to try out soon. Bobby will make his South debut in the Tamil action fantasy movie Kangurva with Suriya and Disha Patani in lead roles. He will also play Emperor Aurangzeb in the Telegu historical action movie called Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
This untitled YRF spy thriller movie is set to be the directed by the Shiv Rawail who is best known for directing Indian web series The Railway Men.
