Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh created history by selling out the ‘largest ever Punjabi show outside of India’ during the North American phrase of his ‘Dil-Luminati’ show.
His tour ‘Dil-Luminati’ took place on Saturday, where Dosanjh received an impressive crowd of over 54,000 at the BC Stadium in Vancouver, Canada. The songs included in this show were “GOAT”, “5 Taara”, “Lover”, “Kinni Kinni”, and “Ishq Mitaye“. The song ‘Ishq Mitaye’ is from his latest Netflix film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ which is based on a Punjabi singer by the same name.
The Dil-Luminati Tour Show At Vancouver
The concert took place at BC Stadium where it drew a huge crowd with hundreds of people lining up outside the stadium for two hours before the rain started pouring on the stadium. Families of different generations were also present there and were highly anticipated and captivated by their fellow countrymen’s music performances.
The artist dressed in a black attire screamed out his latest and one of his most popular song ‘GOAT‘ and as he started singing, the audience in the background could be seen humming to the tune and cheering for their favourite musician.
The event standed out to be a rare event for a Punjabi concert as it attracted a huge number of crowd with the tickets for the front-row of the show were in high demand and ranged from $482.79 to $713.89. While the tickets for the other seats in the show demanded even huge prices.
Diljit Dosanjh on His Performance
The Punjabi-Actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh stated on his official Instagram page that ‘HISTORY HAS BEEN WRITTEN. BC PLACE STADIUM SOLD OUT. DIL-LUMINATI TOUR.’

In one of his videos, the general manager of the event even interacted with Diljit and Diljit can be seen stating that ‘Thank you Sir, thank you for having us here’. The general manager replied by stating that ‘My name is Chris. I am the general manager here at the stadium. The largest ever Punjabi show outside of India.’
As an appreciation for his show, the general manager Chris even handed over a framed picture of his performance to Diljit Dosanjh as the crew of the ‘Dil-Luminati’ show clapped while receiving the frame.
As part of his tour, Diljit Dosanjh will now travel to Winnipeg, Calgary, and Edmonton before heading back to the US and will end his ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour at the Canadian capital of Toronto on 13th July.
Bollywood Celebrities React on His Vancouver Concert
Many Bollywood celebrities also took on social media and congratulated Diljit. Neha Dhupia stated ‘Beyond we are living in the @diljitdosanjh era.’ Indian film producer Rhea Kapoor stated commented that ‘The best miss you all.’ While some fans also took the liberty to congratulate the singer like a fan commented and stated that ‘Cried at the stadium when Diljit kissed the kid’s forehead GOD SENT IN HUMAN FORM.’

About the new movie ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’
Diljit Dosanjh was recently seen in his new movie ‘Amar Singh Chamkila‘ which was released on Netflix and became an immediate massive hit among his fans.
The movie is based on the life of the Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila who was assassinated by some Sikh militants due to his raw and passionate songs. In the movie, Diljit played the lead role of ‘Amar Singh Chamkila‘ while Parineeti Chopra played the role of his wife ‘Amarjot Singh‘.
The movie received an IMDB score of 8.1 out of 10 and 89% on Rotten Tomatoes where many critics praised the performances of Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra.
