The 55-year-old man Manoj Bajpayee recently appeared in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla.
He admitted that he was unaware of the fact that his new release ‘Bhaiyya ji’ would be his 100th film with showbiz. He says that he came to know about his achievement quite a few days ago.
The movie would hit the theatres on May 24th and by the release of ‘bhayya ji’, the perfectionist Manoj Bajpayee’s hard work and acting skills would hit a century of films in the entertainment industry.
According to the reports, bajpayee recognized his accomplishment for the first time when the director or Bhaiyya Ji told him about it.
The filmmaker Apoorv Singh was the first person to tell him about his big feat. Bajpayee said, “he told me one day, ‘Sir do you know that you have completed your 100th filmmaker?’.”
Why he thinks it is a ‘miracle’?
Manoj calls it a milestone that he has achieved. He feels it happened like a miracle to him as when he came to Mumbai, he didn’t even think that he would be able to complete his 10 films but today’s feat makes him surprised and overwhelmed.
Bajpayee is known for his realistic acting skills. He wanted to become an actor but according to his village society, a man should get married at 22 and have kids at 25. To avoid getting married and pursue acting, he lied about his studies at Delhi University and pursued theatres.
He added that he had to do this because acting wasn’t seen with good eyes in his society. If anyone had come up with an idea of acting, the people used to mock him/her by calling them ‘bhand’.
He feels it is difficult for a newcomer to accomplish his/her name in showbiz if the person doesn’t have any background in the industry.
Bhayya ji’s plot is based on a man who stands up for his family and seeks revenge for the wrongs done towards his loved ones. People are eagerly waiting to witness this fresh plot on the 24th of May.
Bajpayee has left a lasting impact on the audience because of his unforgettable roles in his works like Satya, Gangs of Wasseypur, Aligarh and many more.
