He stated that ‘This is an incredibly spiritual weekend. We’re in the holy month of Ramadan. Tomorrow is Easter. And yesterday, Beyoncé released a new album. There’s just so many religions celebrating all at once.”

Ramy Youssef on the people of Palestine
After making jokes on Beyonce’s new album Cowboy Carter, Ramy recalls an incident and shares the story of his Palestinian friend Ahmed. He remembers getting a call from his friend Ahmed in which he requested him to pray for the safety of his family in Gaza.
He stated that ‘So that night, I go to pray, and my prayers are complicated. I’ve got a lot to fit in. I’m like, ‘God, please, please help Ahmed’s family. Please stop the suffering. Stop the violence. Please free the people of Palestine, please. And please free the hostages, all the hostages, please.’
But after the statement he paused for a moment and smiled back quickly to the audiences and stated that ‘And while you’re at it, you know, free Mr. Bojangles. He’s a beautiful dog. I’m praying for that dog.’
