The Indian legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan recently opened up about working on his upcoming film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ with co-stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and South Icon Kamal Hassan.
The Indian actor is gearing up to work in Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ as Ashwatthama, who is the son of Drona and a major character from The Mahabharata.
Amitabh Bachchan Praises Kalki Director Nag Ashwin
Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his official Instagram post in which he praised the Kalki 2839 AD director Nag Ashwin and he stated that ‘And… Bujji the marvel has been released… the technology for KALKI 2898 AD , is the mind and work of the director Nag Ashwin .. how did he ever think this one out .. and how has he been able to accomplish this is a marvel in itself.’
He added to his statement and said that when we work on a project like this, we never know about the result, but as the days go by, the film’s clips and great points begin to appear. We cannot help but commend the director for his brilliant thinking and ideas incorporated into this film.

Last month, a 21-second clip of Amitabh’s character was teased during the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The 21-second clip showed Amitabh Bachchan’s character wrapped up in bandages and positioned in the cave praying to a Shiva Linga.

In the clip, a young kid appears and said that Whether he is a god, who he is and whether he can’t die. He replies in the exchange and stated that ‘Dwapar yug se Dash avatar ki pratiksha kar raha hoon main, Dronacharya ka putra Ashwatthama (Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar, Dronacharya’s Ashwatthama).’

Aside from Big B, Prabhas, Kamal Hassan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani have been cast in the lead roles, with Bujji ‘The Robot‘ being voiced by South actor Keerthy Suresh. The film is a mythological-inspired science fiction movie set in the future. The movie was announced at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) by the makers of the film with the official title ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘ The film was slated to release on May 9, but due to the Indian General Elections, it was postponed, and moved to June 27.
