On Sunday, Liverpool made a great comeback and earned a win against Brighton by 2-1 at their home ground Anfield to move to the top of The Premiere League table by 67 points.

Liverpool’s Comeback against Brighton

Jurgen Klopp’s side were stunned when the former Liverpool and England player Danny Welbeck struck the nets and the opener for Brighton within 2 minutes. But, in the 27th minute Colombian winger Luis Diaz struck scored for the equaliser for The Reds before half time with a sublime volley after Salah missed with a header.

But the Egyptian forward and run machine Mohammad Salah scored the winner for The Reds with after getting a  great pass from the Argentine Alexis Mac Allister in the 65th minute. Thus, Liverpool moved past The Gunners and Manchester City by 67 points after both City and Arsenal played for a draw on the same day in Ethihad Stadium.

Liverpool Kept Their Nerves Cool Under Pressure

One of the best talking points in the whole game is Liverpool never felt pressure and kept their nerves cool despite getting an early goal from their former player Danny Welbeck who know Liverpool and the playing conditions in Anfield very much.

Despite getting pressure from the fans, the German taction Jurgen Klopp’s side remained adamant and continued to push and create chances against the Dolphins with their impressive passing accuracy of 89 percent and also setting up 30 impressive shots in the visiting goal’s nets with the 1st goal came in the 27th minute and the 2nd goal came in the 65th minute.

The Reds will be happy as their next five out of nine vital games will be their home matches which will be a crucial point despite getting competition from Arsenal and Manchester City for the most prestigious trophy in the history of English football.

Alexis Mac Allister was declared The Player of The Match

There were many contenders for the Player of the Match award like Mohamad Salah, Conor Bradley, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz all of Klopp’s men contributed in the match but none of them was worthy as the former Brighton and Hove Albion and Argentine player Alexis Mac Allister who gets the ultimate price for his brilliant passing display and also for setting up the crucial assist which led to a brilliant goal from the Egyptian Messi Mohammad Salah. He also showed his former club what they lacked in the game.

Despite losing the game, Robert De Zerbi’s Brighton played and gave a good game to The Reds and they remain at the ninth position of the English Premiere League with 42 points out of their 29 games.
